Sarah Lawlor
Employability Support Worker
Sarah joined Bridges in September 2024, initially as a Schools Employability Support Worker. She previously worked as a primary school teacher and holds an Education Studies degree from Queen Margaret University. Alongside Bridges, Sarah is the subject of a case study for Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), which aims to support young people experiencing poverty through community learning and development opportunities.
Kelly Muir
Employability Support Worker 16+
Kelly joined Bridges in 2024, initially as a Group Support Worker. She has previously worked as Manager of a soft play venue and as a Supply Classroom Assistant. Kelly also holds a degree in Psychology, with a specialisation in attachment theory and child development.
Grant Hamilton
Employability Support Worker (Bridges Pathways) & Monitoring and Evaluation Team Lead
Grant has had several roles at Bridges since he joined us in January 2019. Before Bridges, Grant worked in Learning & Development and HR within the 5-star hospitality industry for a number of years. He is accredited in training, management, coaching and advocacy.
Stevie Baxter
Independent Living Support Worker
Stevie joined Bridges in 2021. Stevie has worked with young people and adults in the care sector for 17 years in various settings for private companies and local authorities. Stevie’s past experience includes working in residential settings with looked after children and young people, youth work in communities, working with adults with learning disabilities and homeless prevention.
Connie Mackenzie
Project Officer
Connie joined Bridges in December 2025. She brings with her a wealth of experience, including 18 years working with East Lothian Council. She spent 13 of these with East Lothian Works as an Employability Intervention Officer and Project Officer respectively. Connie also holds an HNC in Business Management from Queen Margaret University.
Rachael Warne
Young Carers Support Worker
Rachael joined Bridges in April 2026, having previously done a placement with us as part of her Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy course. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Human Biology with Sociology and Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Psychology. Rachael’s previous experience includes being an Assistant Manager and Wellbeing Advisor in the hospitality and events sector, through which she supported staff with their wellbeing.
Katrina Hamilton
Employability Support Worker
Katrina worked in advice services, housing and homelessness before retiring in 2023. As a mother and grandmother, she has had a keen interest in the wellbeing of children and young people for a long time. She is part of Bridges to help young people “be all they can be”.

Alan Hamilton
Travel Training Mentor
Alan worked as an IT systems developer in the semiconductor industry before retiring in 2021. When working, he enjoyed developing technical skills in younger people and watching them grow in confidence. He is delighted he has the opportunity to continue doing this through volunteering with Bridges.
